The YouTube Creator Collective, conceptualized and executed by Shobiz (part of the Havas Creative Network) in collaboration with YouTube, was launched to address a key challenge in India’s creator community: fragmented connections and a lack of opportunities for creators outside major metropolitan areas. India, as the second-largest telecom network globally, has seen mobile data consumption skyrocket, with the latest report by Nokia India revealing that in 2023, the average user consumed 24.1 GB of data per month, driven primarily by video content. YouTube has emerged as the most accessed platform, surpassing OTT services and traditional channels, making it a pivotal player in India's digital content landscape.

As India’s digital landscape rapidly expands, creators in smaller towns and regions often face isolation, limited access to resources, and fewer opportunities to network. In response, the YouTube Creator Collective, a relationship marketing initiative was designed to foster a sense of community, collaboration, and empowerment among creators across India. The Creator Collective was launched to bridge this gap, offering creators from diverse regions the chance to connect, collaborate, and thrive. This initiative has democratized access across 12 cities in 8 languages, through immersive and experiential events, cultivating a supportive community for creators from all backgrounds.

At the core of this initiative is YouTube’s commitment to creator success, ensuring that every creator, regardless of location, can flourish in the competitive digital arena. By facilitating a series of events, workshops, and interactive experiences, this initiative not only brings creators together but strengthens long-term relationships by offering them the tools and connections to thrive in the competitive world of digital content creation.
