Karthik Raghuraman serves as a Digital Learning Lead at Cognizant, a Fortune 200 global IT services and consulting company. Within Cognizant’s Learning & Development (L&D) division, Karthik plays a pivotal role in designing enterprise-scale digital learning solutions that serve clients across heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and finance.

In early 2024, Karthik was tasked with solving a complex, high-stakes challenge for a global pharmaceutical client: delivering consistent, multilingual, and fully accessible compliance training to over 30,000 employees across 170 countries. The existing learning infrastructure lacked the scalability, accessibility, and localisation agility needed to meet global compliance standards, especially across diverse languages, bandwidth limitations, and accessibility needs.

Given the mission-critical nature of the training, compliance with legal and ethical regulations, Karthik recognised the need for a full-scale digital transformation. He mobilised cross-functional teams, bridging instructional design, UX, localisation, and tech engineering to deliver a learning solution that would meet stringent global standards while ensuring high user satisfaction and measurable ROI.

This nomination centres on how Karthik’s leadership catalysed the transformation of compliance training from a fragmented, manual process into a globally scalable, automated, and user-first learning experience, delivering tangible business impact and setting new benchmarks in the L&D space.
