David Antonacci - Teeny Tiny Homes

I’m David Antonacci, founder of Teeny Tiny Homes, and I operate with a philosophy I call the "Humble Hustle." My background isn't typical for a manufacturing CEO, instead I learned about business through the school of hard knocks, transitioning from a challenging past to finding my purpose in creating genuine value for others. Today, I lead an award-winning manufacturing operation in Caboolture, Queensland, that’s directly tackling Australia’s housing crisis.


Teeny Tiny Homes was born in 2016 from a simple observation that housing was becoming unattainable for the average Australian. I realised that the tiny home movement offered a solution, but discovered the market was filled with non-compliant, caravan-style builds. I saw a manufacturing gap and set out to industrialise the production of high-quality, fully compliant homes that didn't sacrifice safety for affordability.


We specialise in designing and manufacturing custom tiny homes, and unlike competitors who treat these builds as temporary caravans, we manufacture to Class 1A building standards. We are the only manufacturer in Queensland providing up to 12 forms of certification, including 7-star energy ratings and cyclone-proof steel frames.


My role as an entrepreneur has been to engineer a manufacturing process that defies the old adage: "Fast, Good, Cheap—pick two." I was determined to offer all three. By optimising our production line, implementing advanced batching processes, and maintaining radical transparency with direct-to-consumer pricing, we’ve made homeownership accessible to retirees, first-home buyers, and downsizers who had been priced out of the market.


AS a significant social enterprise, we’ve grown from a backyard operation to a facility with 20 staff, producing over 500 homes to date. My mission is simple - use advanced manufacturing efficiency to solve a social problem, ensuring that a safe, beautiful home is a reality, not just a dream, for everyday Australians.
