SOCAR Türkiye Academy is a strategic corporate university designed to drive continuous learning, capability development, and organizational transformation across SOCAR Türkiye. Aligned with the company’s strategic vision and backed by senior leadership and the CEO, the Academy acts as a centralized hub for learning and development. Within the framework of our Corporate Values, Working Principles, Corporate Strategies, and Global Dynamics, the Academy offers employees a structured “Development Journey” that promotes long-term growth. The Academy’s mandate spans talent retention, employee engagement, and upskilling/reskilling to equip the workforce with 21st-century competencies relevant to the evolving energy sector. This strategic alignment is reflected in key engagement metrics, including consistently high satisfaction scores and significant improvements in employee perceptions of learning and development. Our learning ecosystem combines virtual classes, digital courses, podcasts, videos, and interactive materials to provide flexible access. In addition, innovative programs such as the Leadership Factory and the Mini MBA — conducted in collaboration with Sabancı University — support leadership growth and strategic thinking. These initiatives enhance individual competencies and cultivate a learning culture aligned with the organization’s future direction. SOCAR Türkiye Academy also fosters internal transformation through peer learning via its Internal Trainer Pool, where employees teach and learn from each other. This has resulted in over 100 internal trainers and substantial cost savings by reducing reliance on external training. The model strengthens knowledge sharing, collective intelligence, and employee ownership of learning. Our Academy Studio has modernized content creation by bringing professional production in-house, resulting in high-quality digital courses, podcasts, and videos. This approach accelerates development timelines, increases learner engagement, and ensures brand consistency while reducing third-party production costs. It also empowers internal experts to contribute directly to content creation, expanding our learning ecosystem’s impact. The Academy’s digital library now offers over 500 digital courses and learning assets, enabling more than 34,000 participations in e-learning activities and engaging over 2,000 employees. With features such as gamification, microlearning, and on-demand access, the platform supports diverse learning needs and promotes self-directed development.
